Angela earned a BA in Psychology from Madonna University and an MA in Clinical Psychology from Michigan School of Psychology. In the 12 years of working in mental health, Angela has acquired a diverse experience including individual, group, and addiction counseling. Angela's treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, holistic therapy, and other approaches based on her clients’ needs. Angela provides a non-judgmental environment that promotes positive change and personal growth.
VEEMAH provides individualized interventions that are comprehensive, and that are geared toward our clients' needs. We empower our clients by supporting them in understanding their conditions and in identifying coping strategies that would help them in their daily lives. At VEEMAH, advocating for our clients’ well-being is crucial to the work we do.
Angie has a BA in Psychology from Augsburg College and an MA in Counseling Psychology from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She believes that it is important to offer compassion and understanding to those struggling with mental health challenges. Angie also has a passion for learning as evidenced by her new role as a psychometric technician in VEEMAH's Assessment Clinic. Angie notes that assessments provide valuable insight into an individual's behaviors, personality, and capabilities.
Anna has served individuals with severe mental illnesses across the life span. She utilizes different modalities based on the client's specific diagnoses. However, Anna’s core therapeutic orientation is the Person-Centered approach; serving clients in a non-judgmental environment and with empathy. Anna has a BA and an MA in Social Work with a minor in psychology, from Regis College. She remains true to a core value of Regis College; “Love and service of the Dear Neighbor without distinction.”
Ashree is a first-generation college graduate immigrant from Nepal. An acute need for mental health services in her community led her to embark on a transformative journey across continents to acquire a BS in psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. Ashree is currently enrolled in Adler Graduate School’s Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Embracing a strength-based and holistic counseling approach, Ashree aims to create a safe space for individuals to be heard and appreciated.
Brittney is our Administrative Assistant and Marketing Specialist. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina and is a current student in the Marketing Program at Dakota County Technical College. Brittney is a behavioral health advocate, a community builder, and a content creator. She loves helping individuals access needed resources. Brittney believes that mental health services must be accessible, inclusive, and culturally focused.
Erwin is a therapist, and he also provides office management and administrative oversight for providers and clients at VEEMAH. Erwin attained a BA in Psychology, with a concentration in Neuroscience from Carleton College and he has an MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Argosy University. Erwin is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology program from St. Mary's University of MN. Erwin’s calm and genuine demeanor welcomes those who seek care at VEEMAH.

Joseph is passionate about helping people work through stressful experiences. He has spent more than six years helping families, as a Mental Health Practitioner and a Social Worker. Joseph has an MBA from Hamline University, an MAFM from the Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Metropolitan State University. Joseph is currently enrolled in the Master of Science in military and emergency responder psychology, at Colorado State University.
Naomi graduated from North Dakota State University with a BA in Psychology, and a minor in neuroscience. She has worked as a direct support professional with vulnerable adults and children for 2 years. She believes that inclusivity within mental health services is very important. As a Behavioral Health Technician, Naomi supports clients diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorder in their home environment to learn skills they can use in their daily lives in order to reach their full potential.
Safiya is a first-generation college graduate from India who draws inspiration from her father's informal counseling to pursue psychology. Safiya is completing a post-master’s certification in Mental Health Counseling at Adler Graduate School. Fueled by her passion and cultural influences, Safiya is determined to challenge the mental health views in her collectivistic culture and to apply innovative practices and the latest research to offer culturally sensitive counseling to her clients.
Sonya is a social work supervisor at VEEMAH. She is an experienced Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Minnesota Board Approved Supervisor. Her experience ranges from working as a school-based social work to working with clients struggling with severe and persistent mental illness. Sonya currently works as a special education social worker for the Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS).
Ursula is a graduate from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota with a dual master’s in clinical counseling and addiction studies. She is also a graduate of Rhode Island College with a BA in Psychology. Ursula advocates for normalizing mental health conversations to remove the stigma. She hopes to be a liaison for underserved populations gaining access to mental health services.
VEEMAH is a culturally focused and trauma-informed private mental health service provider whose staff includes a licensed psychologist, a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC), and other licensed professionals in the fields of psychology, social work, and addiction.
Veronica has a BA in Sociology and Criminology with a Minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She's working toward her MA in clinical social work from Bethel University. Veronica believes that it is important for individuals to feel empowered and to build self-confidence to reach their full potential. She utilizes strengths-based and person–centered approaches in her work with individuals across the life span. Veronica is a Sexual Assault Advocate.
