School-Based Mental Health Therapy

VEEMAH’s school-based therapy program provides therapeutic services to students who are experiencing social/emotional distress or have a mental health diagnosis. VEEMAH therapists implement strategies to ensure a practical and collaborative approach for service delivery in the schools. Our therapists collaborate with teachers, school social workers, and staff to aid the student in working towards their individual goals. Moreover, as a culturally competent organization, we provide services to clients within their cultural context. VEEMAH currently provides school-based mental health services in the following schools:

· Zachary Lane Elementary

· KIPP Public Schools

· Noble Elementary

· Paladin High School

· Robbinsdale Academy-Highview

· Robbinsdale Virtual Academy-Highview

Promotes improved psycho-social health
Removes barriers such as transportation and scheduling difficulties
Provides greater accessibility for families to receive mental health services
Allows for students to work with therapists in the environment they often struggle the most
Leads to increased communication between the family and school
Students experience more academic and social support
