VEEMAH Integrated Wellness and Consulting Services, LLC

SCHOOL-BASED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPY

Overview

  • At VEEMAH, our school-based therapy program is here to support students who need it. Our dedicated therapists work directly in schools, using practical, compassionate strategies to provide care. We focus on collaboration, with educators, families, and students to ensure each child gets the support they need to thrive, both emotionally and academically.

  • Services are billed to your child’s health insurance for each session, similar to other medical or mental health appointments. The cost of therapy depends on your specific insurance plan.
  • For children without insurance, support is still available through a DHS grant, ensuring no child goes without the care they need.
  • We are proud to provide school-based therapy services in the following school districts: Anoka-Hennepin, Osseo, Robbinsdale, KIPP Minnesota, and Brooklyn Center.

The Benefits of School-Based Therapy

  • Promotes improved psycho-social health
  • Removes barriers such as transportation and scheduling difficulties
  • Provides greater accessibility for families to receive mental health services
  • Allows for students to work with therapists in the environment they often struggle the most
  • Leads to increased communication between the family and school
  • Students experience more academic and social support

Getting Started with In-School Therapy

If we work in your school district your first step is to connect with us by calling 763-202-4767 or contacting your child’s school.

Even if VEEMAH isn’t partnered with your child’s school, the school staff may still be able to connect you with other in-school therapy options available in your child's district.

Please review our School-Based Informational Flyer at the bottom of this page for more detailed information.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us by emailing info@veemahconsulting.com or calling 763-202-4767 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

VEEMAH is a private practice with licensed mental health professionals offering services for individuals of all ages, including school-based therapy.

Our program provides personalized, in-school therapeutic support for students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.

Sessions are held during the school day to reduce disruption to learning.

School-based therapy is available to students who have been identified by school staff as benefiting from additional emotional or behavioral support. Services are individualized based on each child’s needs.

Our school-based therapy program focuses on:

  • Personalized interventions tailored to each child’s unique needs
  • Collaboration with school staff, families, and other care providers involved in the child’s well-being
  • Empowerment and education to help children and families understand mental health concerns and develop practical coping strategies

Services are billed through your child’s health insurance, similar to other medical or mental health appointments. Insurance information is required at intake.

Costs vary depending on your insurance plan, and we encourage families to contact their insurance provider directly to understand coverage and potential out-of-pocket expenses.

For children without insurance, services may be covered through alternative funding sources, such as our grant programs. Please contact VEEMAH directly for more information about available options.

Yes. VEEMAH continues to provide therapeutic services year-round, including during the summer months. Support will take place at our clinic, depending on availability and your child’s needs.

Parental/guardian involvement is an essential part of school-based therapy at VEEMAH.

Parents or guardians are expected to participate in the intake/first appointment and remain involved throughout the treatment process.

This may include attending follow-up sessions, collaborating on treatment goals, and communicating with the therapist as needed.

Ongoing parent involvement helps ensure consistency, supports progress at home and school, and allows the therapist to provide the most effective care for the child.
