VEEMAH offers psychological and neuropsychological testing to help clients and families better understand how a person thinks, learns, remembers, and manages emotions or behavior.
Your provider may recommend a psychological evaluation, a neuropsychological evaluation, or a combination of both, depending on your needs.
After the assessment, you’ll receive a detailed report outlining any diagnoses, along with the client’s strengths and areas for growth.
The results can guide treatment recommendations, educational planning, and supportive services for conditions such as ADHD, learning differences, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mood disorders, or memory concerns.
A referral is required before scheduling. Please see our FAQ below to learn more.
Psychological testing focuses on emotional and behavioral functioning, evaluating mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and personality patterns. These evaluations often use interviews, questionnaires, and activities to understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors affect daily life.
Neuropsychological testing focuses on cognitive functioning, how the brain processes information. This includes attention, memory, language, problem-solving, and executive functioning. It is often used when there are concerns related to brain function, learning differences, ADHD and memory changes.
In many cases, emotional and cognitive concerns overlap. That’s why a provider may recommend a psychological evaluation, a neuropsychological evaluation, or a hybrid approach that assesses both.
You don’t need to know which evaluation you need in advance, your clinician can help determine the most appropriate assessment based on your referral, concerns and goals.

Most psychological evaluations include the following components:
Three in-clinic appointments and online questionnaires (this can vary based on individual needs).
-Appointment One: A clinical interview lasting 1–2 hours.
-Appointment Two: Formal testing lasting 2–5 hours.
-Appointment Three: Receiving results lasting 30 minutes.
Online questionnaires: Typically take 1–3 hours to complete, depending on individual or family needs. These questionnaires are completed on your own time, between appointment 1 and 2. However, if you need assistance, you may schedule an appointment to complete them in clinic with support from our staff.
Note: Providers may also send online questionnaires to family members or community supports, such as teachers, if additional information is needed to complete the assessment. If this step is necessary, your provider will ask you to share the appropriate contact information.
Your provider will let you know when to complete the online assessments. These questionnaires are typically emailed to you after your first appointment, although some clients may complete them in the office depending on individual or family needs.
They are completed through a secure platform. These forms are required and provide important background information for the evaluation.
