PSYCHOLOGICAL Testing

Our Services

A Neuropsychological Assessment helps us understand how a person thinks, learns, remembers, and manages emotions or behavior.

It includes tests, activities, and interviews that look at attention, memory, problem-solving, language, motor skills, emotional well-being and more.

At the end of the assessment, you’ll receive a written report that highlights strengths and challenges. The results can also provide evidence to support diagnoses such as ADHD, learning differences, memory concerns, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or mood and anxiety disorders.

This information can help guide treatment, educational support, and overall planning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@veemahconsulting.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • We work with children and adults who have referrals, starting at age 2.
  • Most of our neuropsychological testing clients are between 3 and 13 years old.
  • Some assessments are appropriate for very young children, while others are designed for older clients.
  • After reviewing the reason for your referral, our providers will determine which testing is suitable.

To begin the appointment process, a referral is required. Referrals must be submitted by a healthcare provider, therapist, social worker, or other support professional.

Ask your provider to complete our referral form at the bottom of this page or send their own to info@veemahconsulting.com or faxed to 763-355-5718.

Once we receive the referral, we’ll review it and contact you directly to discuss next steps.

To refer a client, please complete our referral form below or send your own company referral document including the client’s full name, address, date of birth, contact number, type of testing requested, and a brief reason for the referral to info@veemahconsulting.com or fax to 763-355-5718.

Once we receive your referral, our team will review it and reach out to the client directly to discuss next steps.

All clients are required to complete online assessments, which typically take place outside of appointment hours at the client’s convenience.

Clients—or guardians for minors—are asked to complete online questionnaires before the first appointment. Your assigned provider will email the assessments to you.

These are completed through QGLOBAL and usually take 2–3 hours to finish. The information collected helps the provider better understand the client’s background, functioning, and areas of concern.

If a client or  guardian prefers not to complete forms independently, they may schedule a time to complete them at the clinic. Please note that completing assessments in the clinic will increase overall testing time.

Most assessments take place in two parts, each scheduled as a separate appointment. Usually 1-3 weeks apart.

While some clients, depending on age and individual circumstances, may complete both the interview and testing on the same day, most have two separate appointments. In some cases, additional sessions may be scheduled if the evaluation is complex or if extra support is needed.

Part 1 (Appt 1) – Diagnostic Assessment/Evaluation

  • This appointment typically lasts about 2 hours.

  • It focuses on an interview with a qualified provider who gathers detailed information about your history, current concerns, goals, and relevant background.

  • During this session, the provider may also explore areas such as cognitive skills, academic abilities, social-emotional functioning, and mental health concerns.

Part 2 (Appt 2) – Testing

  • Testing sessions vary by client but generally last 3 to 5 hours. These sessions include structured testing activities designed to measure specific abilities or behaviors.

  • Clients complete various tasks or questionnaires that help assess different areas of functioning. The exact activities depend on age and the type of evaluation being completed.

  • During testing, the provider may observe attention, behavior, and interactions to gather additional insights.

It takes 1-4 weeks from the date of your final appointment to receive a final report with the results and recommendations.

During this time the providers work on scoring, writing, formatting and reviewing which contributes to this overall timeline.

Our office will call you to inform you that the report is completed and schedule your feedback session, which is typically a 30-minute session with the psychologist.

We ask that you do not call for updates on the report unless it has been 4 weeks since your last visit.
